STANDARD GROUP TOUR
DAY 1 – Arrive Bagdogra Airport → Phuentsholing
All tour guests will arrive at Bagdogra Airport. Proceed towards Phuentsholing, the most rapidly growing town in Bhutan. Check in at the hotel. Overnight stay at Phuentsholing.
DAY 2 – Phuentsholing → Thimphu
After breakfast, check out from the Hotel, proceed for immigration formalities. Drive to Thimphu (7,710 ft.) -The capital city of Bhutan. On our way to Thimphu, we will reach the highest point of about 2800m/9,185ft. Arrive at Thimphu and check in at the hotel. Overnight stay at Thimphu.
DAY 3 – Thimphu Local sightseeing
After breakfast proceed for Thimphu local sightseeing covering visit to: Buddha Point: One of the biggest Buddha Statues in the world. National library: National Library: It is known for the storage of all kinds of ancient books of Buddhist culture Memorial Chorten : The National Memorial Chorten is one of the most iconic structures in Thimphu, Bhutan. This pristine white stupa, adorned with gleaming golden spires, was constructed in 1974 to honour the third king of Bhutan, His Majesty Jigme Dorji Wangchuck, known as the Father of Modern Bhutan. Located on Doeboom Lam near Thimphu’s main roundabout and the Indian military hospital, it is a prominent symbol of Bhutanese culture and spirituality Motithang Takin Preservation centre: Royal Takin Preserve, located in the Motithang district of Thimphu, Bhutan is a wildlife reserve area for Bhutan takin, the national animal of Bhutan. Originally a mini-zoo, it was converted into a preserve when it was discovered that the animals refrained from inhabiting the surrounding forest even when set free. Institute for Zorig Chusum (Traditional Art & Craft School) : The National Institute for Zorig Chusum is based in Thimphu and Trashi Yangtse and was established by the Government of Bhutan in 1971 to preserve and promote traditional art in contemporary Bhutan. In the National Institute of Zorig Chusum, thirteen skills are taught to students. Handicraft Market: the Handicraft Market in Thimphu serves as a lively center for traditional Bhutanese art and craftsmanship. Conveniently located near the bustling Norzin Lam area, it features an array of vibrant stalls and shops. These spaces display Bhutan’s rich cultural heritage, offering visitors a unique opportunity to shop for authentic souvenirs while immersing themselves in local traditions. Additionally, the market showcases a variety of handcrafted goods, from textiles to jewelry, making it a must-visit for those wanting to explore Bhutanese culture first hand.
DAY 4 –Thimphu → Punakha Dya excursion to Paro
After breakfast, drive to Punakha with an enroute halt at Dochula Pass. Here we can have a look and admire the Chorten, Mani wall, and prayer flags which decorate the highest point on the road. After Lunch, proceed to visit, Punakha Dzong. Situated near the two rivers – the Pho Chu (Male River) and Mo Chu (Female River), the Punakha Dzong is one of the largest Dzongs in Bhutan. We pass through the suspension bridge to arrive at Dzong. Punakha Dzong was initially called Druk Pungthang or Dechen Phodrang (Palace of Great Happiness), for many years until the second king of Bhutan assumed power. Punakha Dzong happened to be the seat of the Government for a long.Transfer to Paro and Overnight stay at paro.
DAY 5 – Paro-day excursion to Chele le pass
Breakfast and proceed towards Tiger Nest basecamp Point only Visit Paro Dzong -also know as the Rinpun Dzong, Ta dzong- Ta Dzong which was built in the 1649 is in Paro and serves as a National Museum.Visit farm house for activities : immersing yourself in the local culture and lifestyle, including experiencing Bhutanese cuisine, learning about traditional tools and practices, and enjoying activities like hot stone baths(direct payment ),khuru archery (direct payment ),dart games (direct payment ). Visit Paro local market for Shopping.Enjoy cultural show in the evening. Overnight stay at Paro.
DAY 6 – Paro to Phuentsholing
Breakfast and check out from the hotel. Transfer to Phuentsholing.Enroute kharbandi gompa. Overnight stay at Phuentsholing
DAY 7 – Phuentsholing to Bagdogra Airport Drop
After breakfast check out from the hotel. All tour guests will proceed to Bagdogra airport and start the return journey to your hometown.
