Tour itinerary:

DAY 1: ARRIVE AT GUWAHATI AIRPORT – TRANSFER TO SHILLONG

Arrive at Guwahati airport, Transfer to Shillong.

En-route stop at Umium Lake viewpoint.

 Shillong became the first capital of the State of Meghalaya. Located in undulating pine covered hills, the city has a milder climate than tropical India. The city centre is 1496m above sea level and currently has a population of around 270,000. Home to several waterfalls, it is also known as the Scotland of the East. The British legacy is still visible in the architecture and food habits of the population.

 O/N stay at Shillong.

 DAY 2: SHILLONG-CHERRAPUNJEE-SHILLONG

Breakfast at the hotel and drive to Cherrapunji.

 Cherrapunji in Meghalaya is one of the wettest places on the planet and the only place in India to receive rain throughout the year. The town of Cherrapunji is nestled in the East Khasi Hills about 50 km southwest of the state’s capital, Shillong. Cherrapunji, also known as Sohra or Churra, means ‘the land of oranges. The cliffs of Cherrapunji also offer stunning views of the plains of Bangladesh.

 Visit to Seven Sister Falls, Nahkhalikai Falls, Mwasmai Cave, eco – park.

 Back to Shillong en-route visit  Elephanta Falls.

 O/N stay at Shillong

 DAY 3: SHILLONG-MAWLYNNONG/DAWKI-SHILLONG

This morning,proceed for Mawlynnong. This little colourful village is known for its cleanliness. Explore the Root Bridge, Sky Walk and Natural Balancing Rock. Also, visit Dawki the crystal-clear river water. Enjoy Dawki boating( subject to weather condition only ). Back to Shillong. Evening free for leisure.

 O/N stay at Shillong.

DAY 4 : SHILLONG-KAZIRANGA

Breakfast and transfer to Kaziranga.

Kaziranga National Park is a world heritage site famous for the Great Indian One Horned Rhinoceros. The landscape of Kaziranga is of sheer forest, tall elephant grass, rugged reeds, marshes and shallow pools.

Kaziranga also has a good number of Tigers and is home to a large breeding population of Elephants, Wild Water Buffalo and Swamp Deer.

Overnight stay at Kaziranga.

DAY 5 : KAZIRANGA

After breakfast, Jeep safari (subject to operation), later go visit Kaziranga National orchid and Biodiversity Park

Overnight stay at Kaziranga.

DAY 6: KAZIRANGA TO GUWAHATI

Breakfast and check out from the hotel. Enroute Maha Mrityunjaya Temple.Check in at Guwahati Hotel

Relax and enjoy the hotel stay

Overnight stay at Guwahati

DAY 7: GUWAHATI LOCAL

Breakfast, visit Kamakhya Temple, go for Ropeway (closed on public holidays) , go for Sunset /sundown cruise at Mighty River Brahmaputra.

Visit handloom centre for ERI, MUGA, SILK

Overnight stay at Guwahati

DAY 8: GUWAHATI DROP

Breakfast and check out from the hotel, drop at Guwahati airport
